De neersmelt heeft een hoog chroomgehalte en biedt uitstekende abrasieweerstand tegen zand, mineralen en fijnkorrelig erts. De slak hoeft niet verwijderd te worden, wat het proces vereenvoudigt. De draad is verkoperd, wat zorgt voor een probleemloze draadaanvoer en uitstekende geleiding.
