Dankzij de unieke samenstelling van de bekleding is de neersmelt ook bestand tegen corrosie. Het materiaal is snel te verwerken door de hoge afsmeltsnelheid en het zelfvloeiend karakter van de bekleding. De oplassing met wolframcarbiden kan in meerdere lagen worden aangebracht en heeft een glad oppervlak. De bekleding is niet bewerkbaar en is geschikt voor het oplassen van staal, gietstaal, roestvaststaal en
